Hi Kristin,

Thank you again for helping us find a home for our beloved Siamese brothers.  We’ve had Bluey and Brownie since they were tiny (the names were meant to be temporary, but stuck! Bluey is the blue point and Brownie is a seal point Siamese) and due to some challenging circumstances (parents divorced and our mom is in a rental that won’t accept pets while our dad has pet allergies) we have to find them a new home as soon as possible.

The brothers are about 10 years old, in excellent health, and have been indoor cats their whole lives.  They are both very affectionate and mellow, love belly rubs and being brushed, and are very vocal (in typical siamese fashion!).  They are just really good beings, and we hope to find someone who is looking for sweet companions.

If you know of anyone who might be interested, please let me know (or have them contact me directly: r.schwartz@ucla.edu or (415) 302-9915) and I’d be so happy to arrange a time for them to come meet the boys.

For as far back as I can remember, there has always been a dog in my life. Since having three children, a dog has been just a small part of our family
zoo. We have had cats, mice, a hamster, fish, and a gecko and I have loved them all! Currently, our furry family member is Rufus, a lovable chocolate lab who brightens up our days with lots of kisses. I cannot tell you how much joy he brings to our family. Thank you to Woof! for allowing me to care

One of our overnight pet sitters, Kate writes about Cookie the cat:

I started a house-sit with a 17-year-old cat named Cookie. She is cute and is like a typical woman who has many years under her belt… stubborn, knows what she wants, and doesn’t waste time on frivolous chit chat.

and the next day:

Cookie woke me up at 4 a.m. to play. I figured, she’s 17, of course I’m going to indulge her, sleepy as I was. In a bit I have to administer meds to her via an inhaler. I love being around animals. They open my heart!

I’m so sad.

I used to love to go in to the Milo Foundation in San Rafael and just hang out with the animals. I would spend a lazy Saturday afternoon cuddling with the kitties and doggies.

What I loved about Milo was the ease with which they they let people like me be with the animals.

It was so relaxing.

One form to fill out and then I got to hug and play with lots of different dogs and cats. It was a great way to spend a Saturday.

Since my kitty Mozart died I’ve been the petless pet sitter and so I’ve been on the hunt for the right animal. I did some short-term fostering for a couple of Milo animals but they just weren’t the right fit. So I’m still the petless pet sitter waiting for the right pet to choose me.

Having the ability to go to Milo and be with the animals was the perfect solution for me during this in between stage of not having a pet.

My personal experience during my many visits to the Milo Foundation is that Lynne Tingle has the utmost concern and love for the animals. Milo was well-staffed with loving volunteers (and often there were more volunteers than people looking at animals). The shelter was always clean and orderly when I visited. The dogs and cats looked so happy and healthy to me.

I hope that Milo Foundation will be able open its doors again.

It’s Saturday and I really miss my visit with the Milo animals…

Yay! Our first blog post!

I’m so excited to be able to communicate with you, our beloved pet and human clients, on a regular basis through this blog.

I want to say a special thank you to all of our Marin dog walking and pet sitting clients for being so loyal and great to work with. While many small businesses have had challenges during this recession, WOOF! Pet Sitting Service has maintained our strong and steady service. I feel so grateful for that.

I started this business in 1995 (nearly 15 years ago!) Little did I know that WOOF! Pet Sitting Service would grow to provide care for thousands of Marin dogs, cats, horses, gerbils, rabbits, a 300-pound pig named Elvis, some goats, one tarantula, fish (lots of fish), hermit crabs, birds (lots of different kinds of beautiful birds), ducks and chickens!

We at WOOF take the “service” part of our business name very seriously and we are committed to providing you and your pet family with the best pet care service that we can possibly provide.
